Our original formula was specially formulated to balance and nourish all types of skin. Tallow is deeply moisturizing and very similar to the sebum produced by our skin. It contains skin nourishing ingredients that plant-based oils just don’t have. Combined with the healing properties of sesame and cold-pressed olive oil, this balm will leave your skin soft, dewy, supple, and ready for prime time.

All of our balms are concentrated and formulated to be very nutrient dense. No fillers, no water, no chemicals. You only need a little bit which means the balms last a goodly amount of time. Our 2 oz balm typically lasts 3-4 months depending on how regularly you use it. Our 1 oz balm will last 1 to 2 months depending on usage as well.

Balm is good for one year. Make sure no water gets in the container.

Note: Our balms are uniquely crafted with a mix of solid and liquid fats, each having its own melting point. Due to temperature changes, these fats may sometimes melt and re-solidify at different rates. This natural process can lead to the formation of tiny, bead-like grains in the balm, a phenomenon known in the industry as 'blooming.' Rest assured, this does not affect the balm's quality or safety for use. This is part of what happens when using products co-created by nature and not a lab.

Suggested Use

Use clean, dry hands to scoop out a pea-sized amount of balm and rub between your hands to melt. Apply to damp face. You only need a bit. Really. The balm is very rich and intensely moisturizing so a little goes a long way.

Be sure to massage the balm into neck and chest as well.

What is tallow and why should I use it?

Tallow is rendered beef fat and has been used as an ingredient in skincare for thousands of years. Tallow is deeply moisturizing and very similar to the sebum produced by our skin. It contains skin-nourishing ingredients that plant-based oils just don’t have. Tallow has vitamins A, B12, D, K, & E -a special combination of beneficial vitamins only found together in animal products. Grass-fed beef is also high in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which has powerful anti-inflammatory and has anti-microbial properties.

Tallow works particularly well for mature and dry skin. It is non-comedogenic and will not clog pores.
